At Blak Ignited, we honour the sacred lands on which we live, work, and grow — lands that have never been ceded. We pay deep respect to the Ancestors and Custodians of these lands — whose wisdom pulses through Country, whose teachings continue to guide, and whose strength makes our work possible. We acknowledge Elders past and present, and extend that respect to emerging leaders and knowledge holders of today. This is more than a protocol — it’s a promise.

A promise to walk gently, listen deeply, and learn differently.
To lead with humility and heart.
To uphold the right of First Nations peoples to self-determination and truth-telling.
To centre relational Ways of Being, Knowing and Doing.
And to create spaces where culture is not a checkbox, but a living, breathing presence — honoured, shared, and fiercely protected.

We give thanks to Country; our first teacher. May we always act in ways that honour her generosity, and never forget that every step we take is part of a larger story.
